*This trip was planned 18 hours before the actual event. i think :)

*Went with JC Batan, my co-photojournalist at APP
*We dont have any clues on where Cutud, Pampanga is
*We left Makati around 1am of March 21, 2008 and arrived 3am which was too early @_@
we didnt expect to arrive that early because we alloted time for eating, resting and the time for getting lost
*It was our first time to cover Penitensiya

these are outcome for arriving too early at Cutud, Pampanga

These men walk the streets of San Fernando, Pampanga while Flagilating. "Surprise attack na naman" these are the words of Me and JC as these men walk right past us without us knowing that they are already nearby. Our cameras, lenses, bags, shoes, shirts, pants and even our faces got sprayed with blood. it was nauseating at first because its not normal being sprayed blood at you right? but after a few minutes, i felt fine getting sprayed by blood because its part of the job. :)
*first location: Streets of Cutud

These men re-enacted the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at San Luis, Pampanga. This is not the main event, its just a play being done in the neighboring city of Cutud :) it was hard to shoot at this time because of the large foreigners [bahu pa nila] pushing you out of your place. stupid errr.
*2nd Location: San Luis, Pampanga

This is the much awaited event happening at Cutud, Pampanga. it was scorching hot at the place where me, jc and akira were. People watching were actually nice to us because the were letting us pass in front of them so we could take pictures. i dont know if they really wanted us to pass or just because the saw our press ids that they let us pass. heheh. well anyways, our placement was not that bad or not that good. not that bad because we were quite near where the crucifixion will be happening and not good because there was a fence in front of us which limited us to shoot with a very low aperture settings [gibberish-gibberish].
*3rd location: Cutud, Pampanga
